Monmouth Park Racing track had an even this weekend that displayed over 5,000 pumpkins that were carved into some random items. It's hard to explain, but they would get a bunch of pumpkins, stick them together (kind of like building blocks I guess) and then carve images into them - skeletons riding on motorcycles, dinosaurs, the White House, to name a few.
It was pouring rain, so we zipped through pretty fast, but it was still fun. I tried to get a photo of Chris and the monkey dancing around while we were waiting in line, but this is about all I could get.
Our little chatty monkey talked the entire time...some of the things she kept saying: "Soooo shiiiney....I never noticed that before." "Whoooooaaaaa...check 'em out" and "Soooo beautifulllll...I never seen that before".
What a great thing for you to do as a family. Sounds like someone's imagination ran away with them on these pumpkins and you all were the beneficiaries. Thanks, little Monkey, for the play by play.
