Virtual belt and stripe night!

We’ve been lucky enough for the monkey to do her jiu jitsu classes virtually. It’s a little difficult, but she gets to see some of her friends there and gets a workout. The coach had a great idea to drive to each kids house that was getting a new stripe or belt to say hi and drop off a certificate. A lot of driving for him I guess, but we learned the monkey actually got two stripes! Almost to a full grey belt.

Not a great week so far

We woke up Monday morning to some water on our kitchen floor. No where near any kind of plumbing. Just dripping out of the door jamb. It was pouring outside so we figured we had some sort of leak. Turns out it was our chimney. That is now on our front lawn.

So we called a roofer and went about our morning. All sitting around the table, getting work done, figuring out the new school work for the monkey. And boom!  Tree on the house 

Deck is ruined. But nobody got hurt. No windows broken even though, as you can see, the branch is like 4 inches away from the window. And no gaping hole in the roof on that side of the house. Phew!

And our new swing did not get damaged. Yay! But really, this week hasn’t been very good so far.

It’s a frame that’s good for nothing.

I was SOOO excited to get a swing and when the box came I couldn’t wait to put it together. Then realized it was only the frame. Thanks COVID-19. I’m kidding, I can wait. Just looks so sad right here...
