Gotta go on a trip - take 2

New introduction to the game...

Monkey: "We gotta go on a trip and see my guy."
Me:  "Your guy?"
Monkey: "Yeah, my guy.  He's in danger.  We gotta go rescue him."

Gotta go on a trip

One of her new favorite games.  We all have to put toys in our backpacks, then put the backpacks on, hold some additional toys in our hands and walk to the back door to wait at the bus stop. Then we walk back into the living room, put down the toys, take off the backpack and have a picnic.  For 5 seconds.  Then she yells it again, "Gotta go on a trip!"

We do this over, and over, and over, and over, and over again.  Tons of fun for the whole family...

The snow has arrived...

And this was just taken at the half-way mark.

Between our house, his mother's house and our neighbor's house, poor Chris was out there for almost 8 hours shoveling yesterday.  Crazy...

The little stinker doing her part...

She managed to get a few things in a box anyway.  Including herself :)

It's starting...

Putting half our lives into storage in preparation to put the house on the market. 

Such an exciting day...

I think this was the fastest she has ever fallen asleep in her car seat since she was an infant - didn't even have a chance to get her new toothbrush out of her mouth. 

Getting ready for school

I thought having a lot of time off from school would prove difficult when trying to go back into our routine.  But, apparently, I was wrong...

...she's just chillaxin and going along with the transition back to real life.  (Yes, this is the monkey wearing sunglasses indoors at 6:30am when it is 17 degrees outside.)

First hair cut...

I waited as long as I could, but we just had to bite the bullet.  It's hard to see, but she got almost 2 inches cut...it looks like her little ringlets are still there though so I'm happy :)

She thought this pose she made was pretty funny for some reason.  She kept saying she looks silly...
