Twenty-nine Weeks

During this time of getting random boxes on our porch when we come home from work everyday, this has been the best one yet!

Twenty-eight Weeks

Sorry I'm a little late on posting the latest picture.  This is just one day shy of her actual twenty-eighth week, but since it was a beautiful snowy day, this is when we took the picture.  I actually snuck in there as proof that I do exist. People were starting to question that...kinda like Santa.

Hopefully you think this is a cute picture because it's probably going to be on our holiday card.  Not me...just the Monkey.

Twenty-seven Weeks

Our little monkey is very interested in electronics.  Chris had to hold her up while I was taking this because she kept trying to reach out and grab the camera.  Crazy kid...

Twenty-six Weeks

It might be a little hard to see the cute pink dress courtesy of Grandma Shauna, but it of course looks super cute on her.  Happy Thanksgiving weekend!

I should note, she is also six months old this week!

Ready for the cold morning.

Cute little hat courtesy of my knitting sister, Tina.

Twenty-four Weeks

I'm a little late on this post.  Last week was a little hard for us in our household.  Although I was able to catch this little bit of sunshine from the week.  Makes the stupid stuff go away instantly.
Crazy quilt is courtesy of Grandma Shauna.  She intended it to be a car quilt, but the Monkey loves rolling around on it and pointing at different colors and shapes on the quilt. Hours of fun!

Twenty-three Weeks

This cute little outfit is courtesy of one of my co-workers who drove all the way down to the hospital to deliver this and other presents from my  other co-workers. The pants have a big strawberry on her bum.  Probably only a few more months she will be able to get away with having something sewed onto her clothes at her bum :)

Twenty-two weeks old!

Our little Monkey had her first Halloween parade yesterday.  She was soooo tired, but when she saw me or one of her teachers she just smiled away.  Of course, as soon as I'd get the camera out, she got serious again most of the time.  Most of the costumes were as you would expect - with the girls there were a lot of princesses (even a Princess Leia which is AWESOME), a Minnie Mouse, a really cute scarecrow; and the boys were mostly super heroes. But there was some kid who was a car or something.  I should have looked more closely because one of his parents clearly made the costume, but he was just excited and giggling the whole time so that cuteness distracted me and I hardly looked at his costume, just his face.  I'm proud to say that our little Monkey was the only viking in the group.

Twenty-one Weeks

Finally getting more pictures of her smiling.  She can sit up fairly well in a high chair, so I'll have to get the next photo of her sitting up (if I can).  Cute little outfit courtesy of the Monkey's family in Denver.  Thanks Michelle, Fallon, Shaye and Bruce!

Twenty Weeks

A little throwback to the preppy days in our lives.  A hand me down from my niece who, when I told her my little Monkey was wearing some of her old clothes said, "She's lucky to have clothes that I wore." Little smart-aleck...

Football Smooshball

Breaking down game film with Coach Baldy. One step closer to Chris having a daughter just like in Remember the Titans.

Nineteen Weeks

This little Monkey can laugh!  And I finally got it on film...

Game day

We got the spirit, yes we do.  We got the spirit, how 'bout you?

Eighteen Weeks

It's been unusually warm this week so we've gotten a few more wears out of some of the more summery clothes for the Monkey.  So this outfit is a repeat of 15 weeks...one of my faves, though!

Seventeen Weeks

It's hard to get this kid smiling on camera.  She is wearing one of Chris's favorite onesie, even though the Giants aren't doing to well so far this season.  She still looks cute in it of course.

Cousins Part 2

There were a couple of weeks in the summer when we didn't have any daycare available, so we had some very nice family members come stay with us or just take her for the day.  My older sister took a whole week off of work to watch her and my younger sister drove all the day from OH with her 3-yr-old to watch our little Monkey.  Her little boy made our kid giggle and giggle...it was fun to watch.

Sleeping

More and more, I go to get the Monkey out of bed and she's like this. I didn't really sleep great before...now I'm going to have to go in and check on her every 30 minutes...

Sixteen weeks

Just a week ago it was warm enough to wear the little jumper we had the Monkey in last week, and now, with the chill in the air, she's getting into her fall, six month clothes.  Still a little big, but of course adorable. my picture taking skills are not getting much better, however...

Fifteen Weeks

Apparently this style of rompers is in style right now.  All I know is the Monkey has several like them and she of course looks cute in every one of them.

Cousins Part 1

Last week and this week, the Monkey got to spend some quality time with two of her cousins. This little cutie pie was born just a few weeks after the Monkey so we are all sure they are going to be BFFs of course!

Fourteen Weeks!

Not the cutest outfit she owns, but we were on our way out the door so I had to take a quick photo.  I have much cuter photos from the week to post soon - ones where she doesn't look so scared, too.  I also wanted to make sure to get one of the quilts that Grandma Shauna made her in one of the photos.  This one is so pretty...

3 Months Old

On her way to the babysitter, who took her to her first football game.  I'll have to get a photo of her in her Monroe Twp HS onesie.

Thirteen Weeks

Little girl just trying to wake up.  She barely fits on that ottoman anymore!

Twelve Weeks

I can't believe she's already growing out of some of her three-month clothes.  Crazy kid!

Eleven Weeks

Onesie is courtesy of Grandma Shauna.  It says "Sweet Cheeks" in case you can't see the type.

Ten weeks

Baby and Dad
I keep trying to get pictures or video of her as she smiles at her dad while he's making bird noises at her but she's pretty tricky...one of the days I'll get her with more than just this stunned look on her face though!

Babmino con cane

Or baby with dog...

This one wasn't my idea, but Jackson actually stayed put and no babies, or dogs, were harmed in the taking of this picture.

Nine Weeks

I don't really know why she looks so startled here...probably one of her loud parents said something to her to get her attention.

Two Months Old

This dress was a little too big for her, but still looked so cute I had to take a picture for her 2 month birthday before I changed her...

Eight Weeks

Sleeping away without a care in the world...

Seven Weeks

Not sure if you can see the logo on her onesie...I guess she's going to be a Yankees fan.

Six weeks old

Here's one of her first real smiles.  It's hard to get on camera because as soon as I pick one up, she gets very serious.  But the little Monkey is definitely smiling and laughing a lot these days.

Clothes

So many people gave us such cute clothes, it's a shame she will really only get to wear them once or twice before growing out of them.  Here's one of my favorite outfits she's received.

Five weeks

Our little Monkey watching TV with the old man.  She's already gotten control of the remote...

Four Weeks Old

First day at the beach

We attempted to take the Monkey to the shore one early morning.  Our stroller broke as soon as we got there, so we had to just haul her around in her car seat.  Because they are still rebuilding the part of the shore that we go to, there weren't even any benches we could sit on.  So we just rested her on jungle gym platform and ate our Dunkin Donuts while she slept away.

Three Weeks Old

We'll have to get some pictures of her out of her carseat, but it's much easier to get her still enough for a photo while she's asleep.

I finally got a photo with her completely eyes open.  She seems pretty alert in this one anyway. Outfit and blanket courtesy of Grandma S again!

Almost 2 weeks

Here she is one day shy of two weeks old.  I have a pic from exactly 2 weeks, but I love the way she is resting her chin on her little fist in this one.  Like "The Thinker" sculpture :).  The blanket underneath her is courtesy of Grandma S again.  Blanket covering her is one of the ones she used in the hospital.

One week old.

Here's the little Monkey at one week old...not a huge difference from her one day old picture. No bandages or tubes though, so we loved that! One of the few pics we have with her eyes open at this point.  Cute blanket and outfit are courtesy of Grandma S. Cute little toy that she loves is courtesy of her aunt Val.

One day old

Our Monkey - One day old
Welcome to the Baldassano blog.  This is mostly for our families, so it will mostly be pics of our family and mostly it will be our cute little Monkey who was born just over a month ago.  She's pretty mellow right now, i.e., we have no funny stories yet to tell, so there will mostly be pictures and videos of her just being cute.  We might mix it up and put a picture of our dog in there sometimes, but he doesn't do much more than our little Monkey right now because he's a grumpy old dog.

Here's the little Monkey at just one day old.  When she was born, she was taken directly to the NICU because she wasn't breathing when she was first delivered.  But she's nice and healthy now...this is a photo of when we could first hold her without the tubes she was connected to.  We were only able to hold her for a short time though, since she needed to be put back on her monitors and such.  In this photo, she looks so tiny next to Chris's fingers!
